Donna Newman Panter, 62, a lifelong resident of Oak Ridge, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 8th.

She was born August 18th, 1954. She worked for several years at The Oak Ridger, and then went on to drive a school bus for the City of Oak Ridge. She enjoyed making crafts, watching baseball and softball, and was an avid UT Vol fan. She cherished her family the most, and her animals Charlie, Drake, and Zero.

She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Pauline Newman, brother Ronnie Newman, brother in-law Jimmy Jones, daughter Ashley Moses, granddaughter Ava Abercrombie, and grandson Mark Daniel Abercrombie.

She is survived by husband Michael Panter;  daughter Michelle York;  son Bradley Moses and wife Ashley;  daughter Carrie Moses and Mark Abercrombie; stepsons Todd and Ben Panter;  granddaughters Lynzi Panter, Emily Abercrombie, and Faith York; grandsons Benjamin and Alexander Moses; sister Kathy Newman Jones; nephews  Sean, wife Angie and J.R. , wife Mary Ann) Newman.

Also several loved ones who she called family, Markell Swicegood; Cindy Manning; Elaina Patterson; Libby Burris; Lisa Butler; Nikki Crutcher; Doris Stephens; Sharon Wilson; Gina Harness; Willie Bunch; and three special girls she called her own, Te’a Abercrombie, Rihanna Frith, and Ayanna Jones.

Family will receive friends at West Village Christian Church, 637 Robertsville Rd. Oak Ridge, TN 37830, Monday, November 14th from 6:00-8:00 pm, service immediately following. Burial will take place at 1:30pm on Tuesday, November 15th at Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery on John Sevier Highway.
