Helen Massengale, age 86 0f Coalfield passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at NHC in Oak Ridge surrounded by her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bowers and Tessie (Lady) Hood, husband of 58 years, Rubert Massengale, brothers, Wilbert, Paul and Clyde Hood, sisters, Gertrude Johnson and Juanita Ricker.

Helen is survived by her sons, Roy Massengale and wife Libby of Oliver Springs and Kenny Massengale and wife Toshia of Wartburg, daughter, Marlene Hanks and husband James of Coalfield,

Seven grandchildren, Byron Massengale (Shelby), Dwayne Massengale (Bekah), Jason Jones (Leslie), Derek Jones and Fiancee’, Kim, Victoria Harlan (Derek), Kenneth Paul Massengale and Ericka Massengale,

Seven great- grandchildren, Chandler, Jacob, Alysa, Brevin and Allie Massengale and Destiny and Dylan Jones.

Brother, Jr. Hood and wife Joyce of Clinton and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at The Oliver Springs Church of God of Prophecy, 828 West Tri County Blvd. Oliver Springs, TN 37840. Funeral services will follow at 8:00PM with Bro. Roy Massengale and James Hanks officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00PM in the Estes Cemetery, Coalfield.
