Jerry Lynn “Porky” Jackson, age 73 of Coalfield passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Coalfield and was a charter member of the Coalfield Lion's Club. Jerry was very involved with the sports program at Coalfield School and worked tirelessly helping maintain the football field and assisting the coaching staff. He dearly loved the Coalfield Yellow Jackets and the UT Vols! He also enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Frances Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Scarborough Jackson;

Shannon Ross
Sharon and Glen Toler
Sherri Braden
Sarah Braden
Grandchildren, Matt, Michael, Trace, Darrell, Brooke, Emily, C.J., Jordie, Nathan, and Chris;
Several Great-grandchildren;
Sister, Kathryn (Kyle) Shepherd;
Niece, Candi (Mark) Alderson and their children Katie (Josh) Phillips and Jonathan Alderson;
Very dear friends, Gary Kreis, Luther Massingale, and Danny Justice;
And many nieces, nephews, and other family members, neighbors and good friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Coalfield from 4-7:00 pm in the church fellowship hall. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Don Acton and Bro. Floyd Scarbrough officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday, 11:00 am in Estes Cemetery, Coalfield.
