Welcome to the memorial page for

Jerry Hugh Justice

January 18, 2018

Jerry Hugh Justice, 65, a resident of Coalfield, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville.

Mr. Justice was born on January 7, 1953 in Oliver Springs. He was employed as a welder and was a long time member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 102. He graduated from Oliver Springs High School and lived the majority of his life in the area.

Jerry loved his family first and foremost. He was proud of the fine young man that his son, Jeremy, had become. He was proud of the family that Jeremy and his wife, Lauren, had built. He was especially proud of his grandchildren, Lucas and Callie.  He loved and adored his sidekick and great nephew, Liam. Jerry was a loyal brother, son and friend. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, Terry and Ken. Jerry also enjoyed a good meal. He could often be found sharing meals and good conversation with his sisters, Peggy and Debbie.

However, the love of his life was his wife, Monday. Jerry and Monday shared a special love. They could often be found holding hands or walking arm-in-arm. Their home was always inviting.

Jerry had a happy, go lucky way about how he viewed life. He loved a good laugh, he loved hanging out with friends and family and he was often the life of the party. He loved to rough house and tease his great nieces and nephews. His catchphrase was, “You wanna whoopin?” Jerry was everyone’s friend and the kind of person who would stop what he was doing to help anyone in need.

He was greatly loved, and will be greatly missed

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Dean Justice and Agnes Lowe Justice; father-in-law, Prudencio Dictaan; sisters, Peggy Justice Gibson, Juanita and Shirley Justice.
