Michael George McGhee, age 63 of Coalfield passed away at his home on Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was a member of Petros Baptist Church and was a member of Local 818 Laborer’s Union of Knoxville, TN.

He will best be remembered for his kind heart and the love he had for his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph McGhee; great- niece, Charli Elizabeth Dotson.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joyce McGhee;

Mother, Hannah McGhee;

Brother, David McGhee and wife, Sherri;

Daughter, Amanda Hicks and husband, James;

Son, Michael Alan McGhee and wife, Jamie;

Niece, Margaret McGhee and Chuck;

Great-niece, Maddi Dotson;

Five grandchildren, Katie, Hayden, and Brooke Hicks, Mirrandia and Savannah McGhee;

Extended family members, Candiace and Matthew Moore;

And many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, March 5, 2017 from 6-8:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Coalfield.  The funeral service will begin at 8:00 pm with Bro. Don Long officiating. The graveside service will be held on Monday, 11:00 am in the Estes Cemetery, Coalfield.
