Rodney Lee Marlowe, age 65 of Oliver Springs passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.  He was raised in Coalfield and attended Coalfield High School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Oliver Springs He was a very innovative mechanic and enjoyed working on his motorcycles. Rodney had a very outgoing personality and made friends easily.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Winnie Marlowe; his “Granny”; brothers, William, George, and Junior; grandson, James Garner; niece, Stephanie Brown and her children.

He is survived by his father, Roy Marlowe of Coalfield;

Daughter, Becki Marlowe Moran and husband, Joe of New Braunfells, TX;

Sisters, Nancy Parker of Coalfield

            Louise Wood and husband, Billy of Coalfield;

Brothers, Steve Marlowe and wife Sheila of Oliver Springs

                Russell Marlowe of Clinton

                Gary Marlowe of Coalfield

And many beloved nieces, nephews and special friends.

A visitation including a “Celebration of Life” service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6-8:00 pm at the Oliver Springs DAV building, 530 Kingston Ave. Oliver Springs, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “Make a Wish” Foundation, Toys for Tots, or

your local Veteran’s group.  And remember to check the organ donation box on your driver’s license!
