Mr. Thomas Edward Swiney, age 59 of Oak Ridge passed away at Methodist Medical on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. He had a passion for trucking which he enjoyed for 23 years. He also loved working on cars and having fun with his family. He had three special pets, his dogs, Buddy and Buster and his cat, Trouble. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Annie Swiney.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn “Kathy” Swiney;
Children, Anna Warren, Thomas Swiney, Jr and wife, Angie, and Jennifer Jackson and husband, Paul;
Ten Grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha, Brianna, Alyssa, Austin, Kathleen, Dynisha, Logan, Alexis, Makayla, and Sophia;
One Great-granddaughter, Paisley;
And numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and good friends.
A “Celebration of Life” Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Oak Ridge Family Bible Church. Pastor Mays will officiate.
