Willie Joan “Jo” Tedder, age 85 of Harriman passed away suddenly, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Roane Medical Center in Harriman. Jo accepted Christ as her Savior at a very young age and loved her family dearly. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.  She was known affectionally as “babysitter” to many children in the community for over 45 years. She loved yard selling and enjoyed working with antiques.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Stacey Barnwell Turner; Step-mother, Hassie Turner;

Husband, Carl Tedder; Daughter, Elizabeth Tedder Kennedy;

Sisters, Ovella Mee, Carman Stout, Betty Wester, Wanda Turner, Janice Langley, and Wilma Housley;

Brothers, George, Benny, Jimmy and Danny Turner.

She is survived by her daughters, Carlene Scott of Harriman, Angie Griffith and husband Chuck of Oliver Springs, and Becky Hinds and husband David of Oliver Springs;

Granddaughter, Chelsea Lantz and husband Anthony of Harriman;

Great-grandchildren, Ava Lantz and baby boy due in March;

Five Step-grandchildren, Elijah, Kristen, Kayla, and Isaiah Hinds, and Tabitha Jester;

Four Step-great-grandchildren, Hayden Lantz, Lincoln Jester, Lilyann Jester, and Brenna Davis;

Sisters, Monica Cromwell and Jenny Kilby;

Brothers, Jeff, Clyde and Charles Ed Turner;

Son-in-law who was like a son, Rodney Kennedy of Rockwood;

Special Friend, Joann Brock and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, and other family members and friends.

Family and friends will meet on Tuesday morning, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Dyllis Cemetery for a Graveside Service with Pastor Keith Price officiating.
