Anita Durham White, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at West Hills Health and Rehab in Knoxville . She was born July 18, 1930 in Munfordville, KY to David D. and Eunice P. Reynolds Durham. The family moved to Knoxville in 1938 and Anita lived here the remainder of her life. She raised her four children in the Lake Forest Community in South Knoxville and was a long-time member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. In her younger years Anita played violin; after her children were grown, she took piano lessons and really loved playing. Anita also enjoyed playing bridge, doing crafts, telling jokes, and taking pictures of her grandchildren. She has spent the last eight years in Parkview Retirement Center, Autumn Care Assisted Living, and West Hills Nursing Home.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Eunice Durham, son-in-law Kris Baker, niece Diane Durham, and brother-in-law Bob Troutman.
She leaves to cherish her memory: brother Don Durham and wife Suzie and their daughter Janet Hinkle (David); sister-in-law Eleanor Troutman;
Daughter Amy Baker and her friend Jack Walker; daughter Holly White and partner Linda Sullivan; daughter Laurie Craze and husband Tim; son Bill White and wife Jan Lester; and much beloved grandchildren Dan Baker, and Megan and Drew White.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at First Baptist Concord in Knoxville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Bro. Andrew Osakue officiating. Interment will be in the Berry Lynnhurst Cemetery, Knoxville beginning at 3:00 pm.
