Anthony Darrell Owens

Anthony Darrell Owens “Big D”, went to be with Jesus on January 2, 2019, with his loving wife of 21 years by his side. Darrell was a loving soul. He was always cutting up, telling jokes, and always turning your worse days into laughter. He was a true Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan. He loved NASCAR and Wartburg Speedway, rooting for Charles Tanner, Danny Mitchell, and many other friends which he loved. Darrell love fishing and going to Cades Cove. He was loved by so many people.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents Elliot Owens and Shirley Russell.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 21 years, Michele Rittenberry Owens

Step-son, Joshua Rittenberry and wife Sirlane Matusi Rittenberry; Step-daughter, Sarah Rittenberry; Granddaughters, Victoria Matusi, and Krystal Role; Great Granddaughter, Aurora

A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 2-4 at First Presbyterian Church of Oak Ridge in the Fellowship Hall with Rev. Judy Voght Officiating. Music will be provided by Wondell Warner.

Darrell’s wish was to be cremated.
