Welcome to the memorial page for

Denise Forster

February 19, 1964 ~ October 21, 2017 (age 53) 53 Years Old

Denise Karen McNutt Piatt Forster, 53 years young passed away peacefully Saturday, October 21, 2017 from complications from Ampullary cancer.

Denise was a fun loving, kind, free spirited gypsy. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Arlene Brown, her mother Jeanne Piatt, and her father Boyd McNutt. She had 3 children, Lauren, Jensen, and Erica, whom she was very proud of and poured her heart and soul into raising them. She was a wonderfully devoted and loving mother. She was also a little sister to Shari, and sister in law to Rusty since she was 15 years old. Also known as Aunt Necie to Jessica, Brandon, Stephanie, Haleigh, Eden, Ethan, Kyleigh, Landon, Jackson and River.

Denise was a great friend and had many.

She loved to travel all over the United States and all over the world. She lived many places including Switzerland, but her heart and her home was at the beach in Florida.

Denise was an animal lover and adored her dog, Scooby and her kitty, Cookie. She had many lucky pets over the years, especially her beloved blonde chihuahua named Piglet, who lived many years and traveled more than the average person. Denise was the best pet Mom ever. She even stopped eating pork because “pigs were good mothers,” which we liked to joke about in our house. Denise had a great sense of humor which is a necessity in our family. She had an amazingly witty personality. She enjoyed stand up comedy, SNL, jokes, and humor of all sorts.

She had a love of reading and read many books over the years. She could always recommend a good read.

We have an unusual amount of lefties in our family and Denise was one of our first south paws. She had absolutely beautiful handwriting and her creativity and artistic talents were nothing short of brilliant. She enjoyed painting, drawing, sculpting, and anything art related.

She enjoyed music and loved a live band, especially at a beach dive. She loved being outdoors boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, scuba diving, spending time at the beach, and anything water related.

She loved a good amusement park. Roller coasters were her favorite. She was the first to say, “Yes! I’ll ride that!”

She valued education and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing, but her true calling was being a mother, as she stayed home with her children during their childhood. She later went back to school for her nursing degree and enjoyed being an RN.

She was proud of her TN roots, and loved the mountains, hiking, geocaching, lakes, hammocking, and visiting family. She and her sister, Shari, were exact opposites, but extremely close. Denise had many friends, but Shari was her very best. The ying to her yang, the cream to her coffee, the calm to her storm.

Denise appreciated different and exotic cuisine. She loved a good meal. Her favorite was traditional thanksgiving dinner, and often opted for a pumpkin pie every year instead of a birthday cake. She took pride in clean eating and trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Denise had an eye for photography and has thousands upon thousands of pictures and videos for her family to enjoy and reminisce about.

Her smile was big and beautiful, just like her life. She will forever be in our hearts.
