FLORETTA (ESTEP) FRANZ

Floretta Estep Franz (Flo), age 83, of Oak Ridge, TN passed away on March 24,2019. Flo was born on April 6,1935 in Keokee, Virginia.  Flo is survived by her husband of 59 years Kenneth Richard Franz, sister Nancy Mertes, brother Lowell ‘Sonny ‘ (Dee) Estep,  daughters Kendra (Deon) Phillips, Dana (Brad Mattie) Glass-Mattie, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many other caring friends and family . Preceded in death by her mother Estelle Flanary Estep and father Charles Estep and also her precious dog, Hope. Ken and Flo have enriched the lives of many from residences in Loveland Ohio, Roswell, Georgia, Lafayette, Georgia, and Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  Flo was a woman of great faith in God and a member of West Village Christian Church of Oak Ridge. She was an avid reader, devoted wife, mother and grandmother and the happiest when family and friends were gathered around.  She will be missed terribly by all that knew her and her love will be added to a family reunion in heaven. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN or to a charity of your choice.  A celebration of life event will be held from 2-5 pm on April 20th at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
