Frances Campbell Hackworth

Frances Campbell Hackworth, age 76 of Oliver Springs went home to meet her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Parkwest Medical Center. She was born on October 15, 1942 and was the last baby to be born in the Wheat Community before it became known as Oak Ridge.  Frances was a Christian and was a member of New Fairview Baptist Church. Her greatest enjoyment in life was raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. As stated by her grandson, Brandon, “She was a strong, independent, single mom of two and thrived at a time and place when even the idea of a woman succeeding on their own wasn’t tolerated. People that needed love and leadership tended to find her. She was always who we needed her to be and she will always be missed. She welcomed everyone with open arms.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lucy (Turpin) Campbell;

Sisters, Juanita and Ruth;  Brothers, Calvin, Clyde, Kenneth and J.D.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Chapman (Dean) and Connie Hackworth;

Grandchildren, Christy Moore Davis (Marky), Jodie Moore Patterson (John), Brandon Corey Chapman and Amy Vogel (Greg);

Great-grandchildren, Tyler Patterson, Caitlyn Snell, Jayda Patterson, Cyleigh Smith,

Cade and Emery Vogel;

Sister, Roberta Wright (David);     Brother, Earnest Campbell (Linda);

And a host of loving nieces, nephews and other family members and very special friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, February 19, 2019 from 6-8:00 pm at

New Fairview Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. The funeral service will begin at 8:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, 1:00 pm in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
