Pat. P. Patterson, age 78 a resident of Oliver Springs gained his wings on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 12:00 pm.  Pat was born on August 21, 1938 on Windrock Mountain. In his career, he did a little of everything from being a veteran in the U.S. Army, a coal miner, union worker, mechanic, and an all-time handy man.

He really enjoyed UT football, racing, “piddling” outside, spending most of his days out at the tire shop at “Tri-County Tires” with his good friends the Giles’ and in his last few years, he took up and loved to whittle.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Nikki and Reba Patterson; son, Joseph Patterson;

brothers and sisters, Eddie, Jackie, Thomas, Johnny, Dave and Opal Patterson.

Pat is survived by his wife, Carol J. Patterson of 27 years;

His children, Danny Patterson and wife Lynn of Madisonville, Mark Patterson and wife Sarah of Vonore, Brad Lawson and wife Amanda of Oliver Springs, and Michelle Ray and husband Chris of Harriman;

Sister, Wanda Coffey of Knoxville;

Grandchildren, Hillary Barnes, Joey Patterson, Isaiah Ray, Markus Lawson, Jake Patterson,

Wesley Lawson, Aubrey Ray and Dalton Lawson;

Great-grandchildren, Aurora and Sullivan Barnes;

And by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.

The family will have a graveside service on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Union Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Oliver Springs. Pastor Wayne Morgan and Bro. Donnie Tinker will officiate.
