Valence Lee Ooten, age 45 of Coalfield passed away at home on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.  He loved to work with his hands and was known for being a good builder and also working on vehicles.  He was a “Jack of all trades.”  He is preceded in death by his   

Grandfather, Cleve Daugherty and uncle, Burl Daugherty.

Valence is survived by his mother, Nancy Armes and husband Steve

father, Lee Allen Ooten and step-mother, Vivica Ooten of Petros, children, Tasha Ooten of Georgia, sisters, Shannon Wandoff of Georgia, Jodie Ooten of Cleveland, TN. and Tiffany Barry of Harriman, grandmother, Coralee Daugherty of Coalfield and several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

The family will have a graveside service, Friday, December 1, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Adcock Cemetery in Coalfield with Bro. Don Long Officiating.
