Betty Lou Harvey, age 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 16, 2025. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Betty volunteered at the print shop and assisted with the Missionary Communications. She loved gardening and her hummingbirds. Betty was a very sociable lady who made many friends. She worked in the banking industry for many years and later retired from ORNL Federal Credit Union. Along the many other things Betty enjoyed she was a faithful pastor’s wife and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Bill Harvey and parents, James and Myrtle Woods.

She is survived by Son; Bill (Delana) Harvey, Daughter; Missy (Chuck) Duggan, Grandchildren; Vanessa Harvey and Andrew (Tori) Harvey, Great Granddaughter; Amelia Harvey, Sisters; Evelyn (Johnny) Duncan, Debbie (Jeff) Holloway, Brother; Jr. (Jean) Woods, Former Husband and friend Stan Kennedy, Special chosen daughter; Penny Clinton and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members who loved her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday July 19, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, a funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Garvan Walls and Pastor David Latham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Mt. Pisgah Print Shop.
