Brenda Sue Pemberton Henry, age 77 of Coalfield, TN (formerly of Scott County, TN) passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.  She was born on August 9, 1943 to Ralph and Fannie Lee Pemberton.  Brenda was married to Dolphus Henry for 57 years.

Brenda graduated from Robbins High School in 1960 and graduated from Tennessee School of Beauty in Oak Ridge, TN.  She worked at Sue’s Beauty Shop on Main Street in Oneida until she opened Brenda’s Beauty Shop in 1966.  Brenda retired in 2010.  Brenda was a member of Barton Chapel in Robbins, TN and served as treasurer for many years.  She presently attended Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Coalfield.

Brenda’s life revolved around her children and grandchildren.  She loved watching Coalfield Football and was extremely proud to be a part of the Coalfield Family.  She was devoted to her grandchildren and worked tirelessly to make sure that they knew how special they were.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph and Fannie Lee West Pemberton; Husband: Dolphus Henry; Son: Keith Henry.

Brenda is survived by her son: Jared Lee and wife Christina Henry; daughter-in-law: Pamela Henry; Grandchildren: Leeah, Chastin, AJ, and Coalton Henry all of Coalfield; Brother: Ralph Wesley Pemberton and wife Peggy of Wartburg; Sisters-in-law: Syble (Ervin) Stringfield of Knoxville; Velma (Dickie) Purser of Georgia; Eunice Henry of Knoxville; Brothers-in-law: Ledford Henry of Robbins; Winford (Betty) Henry of Nashville, Indiana: special niece: Kelly (Todd) Norman; Special Friends: Betty Robbins; Sandy (Ron) Blevins; Wilma Overton.

Due to the State of Tennessee and East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Covid Restrictions this will be a private service on Monday December 28, 2020 at 9:30 am at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 5901 Lyons View Pike Knoxville, TN with interment at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 2200 E. Gov. John Sevier Hwy to follow.  Due to the Cemetery flower restrictions, the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Coalfield Football P.O. Box 98 Coalfield, TN 37719.
