Carolyn Lynn Lively

Our beloved Mother and “Mimi”, Carolyn L. Davis, age 57 of Oliver Springs went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2022 with loved ones by her side. She peacefully passed after a long illness. She was born in August of 1965.

She is survived by her two children, James King and wife Alicia of Oliver Springs and loving daughter, Brittany Davis of Oak Ridge;

Her seven grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Alayan, Kamari, Saniyan, Braxton and Micah Davis  all of Oak Ridge, James King Jr. and Brianna Massengale and their mother Diana Massengale all of Harriman;

Two sisters, Phyllis Gault and husband Sam of North Carolina and Norma Green and husband Donnie of Clinton;

Niece, Elizabeth Nicholes “Liz” of Michigan;

Nephew, Ronnie Green of Clinton.

At a young age, Carolyn survived a long illness that gave her the faith, courage, and strength she carried with her and passed on to so many others. She was such a blessing and inspiration to so many, as well as a mother. Once she took twelve neighborhood kids on a family vacation. Being extremely independent and self-driven, working as a painter, she bought her first home in Oak Ridge where she and her children lived for over twenty years. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do. Being a huge animal lover, she rescued many through the years. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard where she grew dozens of banana trees twice the size of her house. Carolyn had an incredible personality and genuine heart, as well as being the true definition of a Virgo and proud of it!  Rarely holding her tongue her love and loyalty never faded. She was very artistic, painting beautiful murals that covered an entire wall and  crocheted blankets for each grandchild. She never stopped trying to please the ones she loved. Being a firm believer, she took great pleasure in passing her belief and love for the Lord down to her family, children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Terry R. Claunch (married in 1998) and Clark D. Lively “Doug” (married in 2015);  Daughter, Candace Marie Stevens;

Father, James Davis; Mother, Judy Love;

Grandparents, Charles and Evelyn Love of Ohio.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life service in the near future and the date and time will be announced.
