David Ray Brummett Obituary
David Ray Brummett, age 67, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
David deeply cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren and truly enjoyed family gatherings and playing softball. Some of his favorite pastimes included riding motorcycles, singing karaoke at CJ’s Bar & Grill, rock-n-roll music, riding on Windrock mountain, spending time at the lake on his pontoon boat, playing cards, watching NASCAR, and faithfully supporting his brother and nephew at Wartburg Speedway dirt track racing. He was a hard working man who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Peggy Brummett; his parents, Clarence and Alma Brummett; Jean (Steve) Collins; Robert (Shelia) Brummett; Stella (Doug) Patterson; and Sandy Lyles.
David is survived by children Michael (Wendy) Schaefer, Karen Brummett, Rachel (Brandon) West; his grandchildren, Haleigh West, Kyleigh West, Ethan Schafer, McKenzie Douglas, Addison Schaefer, Landon West, Jackson West, Brittany Quilliams; and his great-grandchildren, Jayden Earley and Kinsley Earley.
