EVELYN "LYNN" (MOYER) GIBSON

Evelyn “Lynn” Moyer Gibson, 79, formerly of Spring City died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at her home in Oak Ridge surrounded by her family.

The daughter of the late Lloyd Conley and Lillian Masoner Moyer, Lynn moved from Spring City to the Oak Ridge community in 1958.  She was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School.  Lynn worked at K-25 and Y-12 plants, retiring after 29 years of service.  She was a long-time member and devoted Trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, her home away from home and second family.

Preceding her in death was her sister, Helen Ann Moyer Norris, Jan. 13, 2017; and loving companion, Walter DeCarlo, Feb. 2, 2011.

She is survived by her sons, Joey Gibson and wife Susan of Paducah, KY; Jeff Gibson of Johnson City; grandchildren, Ashley Gibson of Lakeland, FL; Megan and Emma Gibson of Paducah, KY; great-grandchild, Alena Varela of Lakeland, FL; and close friends, Mary Kay Lacey and Susan Sneed.

At Lynn’s request, her ashes will be buried in the family plot in Spring City Cemetery during a private service.  A Celebration of her life will be held Friday evening, May 29 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
