Elenora W. Johnson

Elenora Johnson went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 20, 2022.  Elenora was one of 5 children born on July 5th, 1933, in Coalfield, Tennessee. Elenora was a 1952 graduate of Coalfield School. She was beautician by trade but spent most of working career as a Teachers Aid at Coalfield School. She married the love of her life, Winfred Johnson on September 15, 1951, and had two children, Eric and Star. She was later blessed with two grandchildren, Jessica and J.T, and three great granddaughters, Leah, Lynlee and Harper. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church.   She loved her church and her church family very much.  Elenora loved her sisters, Wilma, Bonnie, and Barbara very much.  They have always had a very special bond and could always give you a good laugh when they were together.  

Preceded in death her parents, Sam and Freddy Wormsley, her loving husband of 50 years Winfred Johnson, sister, Bonnie Wormsley Tabb, brother, T.J. Wormsley, and niece Donna Gayle Smith.

Survived by her son, Eric Johnson, daughter, Star Johnson Underwood (Greg), granddaughter, Jessica Underwood Collins (Curtis), grandson J.T. (Whitney), great granddaughters Leah Underwood, Lynlee Collins and Harper Underwood, sisters Wilma Overton, Barbara Bird (Don), Nieces and Nephews she loved like her own, and Special Cousins Jonell Gebauer and Bobbie Williams.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am in Estes Cemetery, Coalfield. Officiating will be Bro. Don Bird.
