GEORGE WOOD Obituary
George L. Wood, age 62 of Lake City passed away peacefully on December 18, 2019.
He was born on July 7, 1957 to the late Duel Wood and Jewel Henderson. He served our country in the U.S. Army from 1975-77. He had moved to the Murfreesboro area and due to health reasons lost touch with family and friends. George loved all outdoor activities including fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duel Wood and mother, Jewel Henderson;
Grandparents, Rev. Henry and Bernice Duncan; Lemeul and Emma Wood.
He is survived by two brothers, Jeff Wood of South Dakota and Darrell Wood of Knoxville;
Aunt, Evelyn Baker of Knoxville;
And several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and good friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Laurel Grove, Tennessee beginning at 10:00 am with Bro. Aurdy Goins officiating.
