Goldie Hembree Obituary
Goldie M. Hembree, age 90, born December 15, 1934, of the late George and Carlettie Mullins, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 18, 2024.
Preceded in death by Husband Joseph E. Hembree Jr., Daughters Teresa Hembree, Sheila Moore and son Joseph (Eddie) Hembree.
She is survived by her Daughter Vickie Sexton and Son Glenn (Mumbles) Hembree.
Grandchildren, Rebecca (Keith)Watters, Michael Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Elisha Hall, Austin (Missy) Bunch, Rachel Sexton, Mark (Brittany) Sexton, Amanda (Joshua) Hale,
Alan (Jamie) McGhee, Candace Moore, Glenn (Buddy) Hembree and wife Hannah, Mary Ruth Hembree and a multitude of Great Grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Goldie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as a member of Victory Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her love of God and her family.
She was a skilled crocheter, crocheting Afghans by hand and with love, donating them to churches and nursing homes in hope to bring each person who receives one warmth and comfort. She and her late husband enjoyed researching genealogy and made several books on their family history and the area where they were born and raised. She will be deeply missed by friends and relatives.
The family would like to thank the hospice care who brought her peace and comfort but especially her nurse Whitney.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 11-12:00 pm at Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm with Bro. Keith Massengill officiating.
Interment to follow in Victory Church Cemetery.
