Jerry Kenneth Upchurch

Jerry Kenneth Upchurch, 84, of Coalfield passed away at his home on Friday June 19, 2026.

He was retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge after 40 years of service.

He enjoyed woodworking, cooking and gardening.

His favorite pastime was spending time and loving on his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents,  Perry and Sylvia Upchurch.

Siblings, Maggie Bloomer, Dean Ernst, Kay Lawson, Wilma Upchurch, Jonnie O’Neal and Thera Carr.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Darlene Upchurch

Daughter, Tonya (Trent) Turpin

Grandson, Tanner (Victoria) Turpin

Great- Granddaughters,  Mavery June and Emery Joyce Turpin.

And many other family members and good friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation in Oliver Springs. Officiated by Pastor Mark Langley.
