Judy Lynne Jackson Daugherty, age 63 of Coalfield, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025.

While she excelled as a daughter, sister, wife, and momma, it was during her role as Nana that her love for her family shone. Whether she was reading The Wide-Mouth Frog; singing You Are My Sunshine while rocking a baby to sleep on the beach; or rubbing someone's back while watching football, she dedicated every moment of her time on Earth to showing others love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Thomas Jackson and Shelby Jean Rivers Jackson of Coalfield.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years Darrell "Dink" Daugherty; her daughters Carrie Sams and husband Eric, Rachel Fowler and husband Michael, and Holly Massengill and husband Brandon; and her sisters Janna Swint and Johanna Jackson Cox.

She is also survived and dearly missed by her grandchildren Joshua, Lucas, and Jon David Sams; Amelia, Jefferson, and Whitman Britt; and Adalynn and Emberly Massengill.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Middle Creek Baptist Church in Coalfield. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Eric Sams officiating.
