Mr. Leland “Lee” Taylor, age 72 of Coalfield (formerly of Jackson, MI) passed away after a long illness at
Fort Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville. Lee served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a wonderful man who was loved my many and he especially loved his family including his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and his wife, Pat operated Taylor’s Diner in Coalfield for a short time where he enjoyed meeting many new folks in the community and making new friends. He was a great cook and enjoyed smoking bar-b-que.
He worked as a carpenter and builder. Pat worked along side him as they built new homes and flipped homes to sell.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Durward and Leawanna Taylor; Sister, June Watkins;
Best friend, Larry J.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Pat Taylor of Coalfield;
Children, Shawn Spargowski (Daryl) of Jackson, MI, Toby Taylor of Pensecola, FL,
and David Taylor (Jessica) of Coalfield;
Grandchildren, Christopher, Ethan, Tasha, Nick, Josh, Shyia, Jessica(Adam), Kylie, Ryleigh, Haven and Colton;
Sisters, Laura Miller (Forrest) and Juanita Brix (Rusty), all of Michigan;
And many loved nieces, nephews, and other family members and good friends.
The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date.
