MARGARET LEE (HUGHETT) BUNCH

BUNCH, MARGARET HUGHETT - of Coalfield, born on September 10, 1929, passed away at her home on February 19, 2021. Known as “Miss Margaret” to her former students and co-workers, she taught first grade at Coalfield School for 39 years,  having a positive impact on the lives of more than 1,000 students.  She taught  Sunday School at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years where she was a long-time member.

She made a difference In this world!

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Evan Bunch; parents, Grant and Love Woods Hughett; sister, Mary Louise Quinton Peterson; and granddaughter, Chasity Patterson Wilder.

She is survived by her daughter, Janie and husband, Perry Ripple, III, of Johnson City and their daughters, Meghan and Lauren Ripple;

Son, Jackie Bunch of Wartburg;

Daughter, Norma Patterson of Wartburg and her children,  Derrick, Selena, Tim, and Bobby Patterson;

Several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Stella Kelly of Joyner; and brother-in-law, Earl Bunch of Los Angeles. She is also survived by special friends Patty and Steve Seiber, and Jonell and Bill Gebaur, Millie Skiles, Betty Jackson and Mona Justice, who she viewed as family and who were always available, loving, and caring throughout her later years. Special thanks also go out to Miss Margaret’s faithful caregiver, Dorothy Hutcherson, and to the ladies of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church whose frequent visits, friendship, and kindness are much appreciated.

A "Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Coalfield.  There will be a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with Bro. Don Long officiating.  Interment will follow In the Davis Cemetery, Coalfield.
