Richard Allen Russell

Richard Allen Russell, age 68 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Oliver Springs, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Methodist Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

He was known by his family as “Dickie” and by his friends as “Rick”.   He was a man of strong Christian faith and loved studying the Bible.  He had a special place in his heart for his rescue dogs, Lucy and Smokey that he loved dearly.  Dickie also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert J. Russell; Mother, Imogene Dagley Russell;

Brother, Gary L. Russell and Step-brother, Darell Lyles.

He is survived by his life partner, Patrick Getsi;

Brothers, Ronnie Russell (Donna) and Kendall Russell (Lena);

Nieces, Lisa Russell with whom he shared a special bond, Angie Russell Newman (Eddie),

Bridget Russell, Jeannette Russell, and a host of extended family and friends.

A special thank you to Marie, Lorraine, Delores, and Mark as well as the ICU Care Team at

Methodist Medical Center.

Burial will be private and a "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
