Mr. Roger Dale Yarborough, 78 of Oliver Springs, passed away at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge on Sunday, September 29, 2024. He was a 1962 graduate of Oliver Springs High School. He enjoyed gardening,and working outdoors. Roger was an Energy Systems employee for more than 35 years.
He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, devoting time to help maintain the church building and grounds.
He was a devoted Family man loved his only grandson Brady, very much.
Roger was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Yarborough of 59 years ; whom he had devoted the last four years to her care before her passing April 7, 2024.
Also preceded in death were his parents, Grover and Minnie (Conatser) Yarborough;
Mother and father-in-law Elwood and Christine (Wright) Stephens, his precious daughter Tracy Yarborough Weldon.
Brother Bill Yarborough, Sisters Joan Ridenour (Bob) and Donna Reynolds.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Kristy (Chris) Duncan;
Adored grandson, Brady Duncan (Grayson Phillips).
Brothers George (Jean) Yarborough; Tim (Becky) Yarborough; Jerry (Lois) Yarborough all of Oliver Springs;
Special sister-in-laws Juanita Raby of Oliver Springs and Kathie Stephens of Clinton; sister in law Rita Yarborough ; brother in law Gary Reynolds; special friends Glen Green and Robbie Griffith;
special church family of Faith Baptist church; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Anderson Memorial Gardens, Clinton, Tenn. officiated by Pastor Stephen Earle.
