Sammie Ray Adcock Obituary

Sammie Ray Adcock age 86 of Oliver Springs passed away on July 25, 2025, at Life Care of Morgan County. Sammie was raised in Coalfield. He was a diesel mechanic for many years. Sammie enjoyed many things such as coon hunting, watching NASCAR, hunting, fishing and football.


He is survived by his son Greg Adcock, stepchildren Sandy Hodge and Jerry McPeters, sisters Linda Hensley and Gail (Gary) Massengill, brothers Dale (Lauren) Adcock and Danny (Louise) Adcock and several nieces, nephews and other family members who loved him.


Sammie is preceded in death by his wife Helen, son Sonny McPeters, stepsons Terry McPeters and Geary McPeters, parents Blaine (Toupe) and Lorene Adcock, siblings JoAnn Ross.


The family will receive friends on Monday July 28, 2025, from 12-2 pm at Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. The family will go in procession to Estes Cemetery in Coalfield for interment.
