Warren Carroll Shadoan Obituary

Warren Shadoan, 64, of Coalfield, passed from this life into the next on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025.

We lived a life full of adventure, dedication, and love, always moving forward with the kind of strength and humor that made an impact on everyone who knew him. A proud Army veteran, a respected police officer for 21 years, a hard-working business owner of Tri County Metals, and a DJ with a knack for setting the perfect mood.

Warren wore many hats, and he wore them all well. But beyond the titles and his career paths, Warren’s greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Nothing in this world mattered more to him than the family he built, the love he shared, and the memories they created together. Whether he was out on the lake, riding the waves on a jet ski, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, he found happiness in the simple, beautiful moments of life.

Warren had a way of making people laugh, even in the most unexpected moments. He carried himself with a mix of toughness and warmth, always ready with a joke, a story, or a piece of wisdom he learned over the years. His presence filled every room he entered, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Though he has left this world, his legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Faye and Jack Shadoan, brothers Vance Lee and Perry G. Bird, and wife Mary Shadoan, mother of Warren and George.

He is survived by his very best friend and companion, Niki Traboulay.

Daughters, Cheri Thomas and husband Jacob, Stefanie Dean, and Emily Duff.

Sons, Marcus Crawford, Warren Shadoan, and George Shadoan.

Grandchildren, Caleb Shadoan, Taylor Gouge, and Scarlett Gouge, and the children of Marcus and Stefanie. Brother, Shaun Shadoan and partner Cassandra.

Nephew, Austin Shadoan and partner Dana. Great nephew, Vance, and great nieces, Kinsley and Bailey. Special friends, Tammy Laymance (mother of Cheri), Tara and James Hall, Amanda Laymance, and Chelsea Hatfield.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date, but in the meantime, you can honor him by turning up the music, hugging your family tight, and just taking a moment to appreciate this life and the beauty within it—just as Warren would have wanted. He will be missed by all who knew him.
