Jerry was a sweetheart. He will be missed by all. The dental office will not be the same; seeing how I will not give anyone a heartache when they walk into the office anymore. God bless you all. Try to remember the smiles. My prayers for you all.

I worked with Jerry at ORNL in the 80's and played co-ed softball with him (he gave me a pair of baseball socks as a wedding gift!). Jerry was a wonderful person, a very smart and kind man, and someone I was blessed to know. I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. I am so sorry for your loss and so distraught that Jerry, with all of his goodness, kindness, creativity, and intelligence, had to deal with such a horrible disease. Delores I'm sure you do not remember me but we spent many evenings at Big Ed's Pizza after the games. Stephen was just a child and Carrie was a baby. Time passes so very quickly. I can still see Jerry in his jeans and plaid shirt with a skip in his step and a twinkle in his eye. He was a joy to know. May you find peace in your heart and have wonderful memories of the sweet Jerry we all knew.

I went to school with Jerry at Highland View, Robertsville Jr. High and ORHS Class of '60. Only with the advent of the internet did I learn of his many accomplishments and his service to Oak Ridge. May his family be comforted by happy memories from the past and from the knowledge that he is at peace.
