Mrs. Arvana Russell Helton, age 85 of Coalfield passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. For 35 years she served the faculty and student body in the cafeteria at Coalfield School and was dearly loved by everyone! She was an avid fan and huge supporter of the Coalfield Yellow Jackets.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Ollie Russell; Husband, Bobby Helton; Daughter, Terri Helton; Sisters, Becky Heydel and Elizabeth “Shorty” Baker;
Brothers, Junior, Kenneth, Willis, Linis, Louis, and R.B.
Arvana is survived by her son, Robert Steve Helton;
Sisters, Betsy (Eugene) McGhee, Lois “Tiny” Foster, and Steva Lane Russell;
Adopted Sister, Kathy Hilton
Special neighbors, Dickey and Judy Justice;
Special friends, Betty Jackson, Billie Lois Justice, and Gary Kries;
And a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members, neighbors and good friends.
A graveside service will be held in Estes Cemetery, Coalfield on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Bro. James Foster and Bro. Estel Underwood speaking.
